The Torfs-Leibman family bought scenic ZigBone Farm Retreat in 2009 with the vision of transforming its historic buildings and 100 mountain acres into an organic farm and a peaceful place for people to celebrate with friends and family, create art, strategize for social change, or retreat from the world. Six years and many pulled muscles later, the old farmhouse is now a three-story lodge, the four-car garage has been transformed into a meeting hall that can hold up to 140 people and the spring house has been rebuilt into a luxurious cabin with a loft. All the renovation was hand done with straw bale insulation, clay and lime plasters, salvaged timbers, and energy efficient design. At last our vision has become reality; we look forward to sharing it.
