"The venue felt like a home. The buildings themselves were so unique and the rooms were warm and inviting. The property was gorgeous and I loved the barn cats, goats and sheep!! The food was amazing and the retreat programming itself was a perfect balance of active time and down time. But the best part, by far, was the people! Everyone felt like a friend, and not just the other participants of the retreat...EVERYONE! From Brenda and Robbie, to Dena and Lenore. I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone I know!" - April I (2023 Fall Participant)

"Entirely wonderful. It was such a positive environment and the classes and food and accommodations were delightful. The hosts and facilitators were SO friendly, the classes were perfect, and I appreciate the acknowledgement of my allergies (removal of apples from salads, etc) and wish to work on my headstand. I really do hope to keep in touch!" - Lauren W (2023 Fall Participant)

About Lenore Fusciello Baker (she/her)

Lenore is the owner of Grace Studios, located in Downtown Silver Spring,
Maryland. She and her long-time friend and business partner, Michelle Radecki, opened Grace in November 2014. Their mission was to create a wellness space that would nurture every mind and body in a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment. That mission has been at the heart of Grace Studios ever since.

Lenore found her health and wellness career by way of American University, where she majored in International Relations! In her senior year, she realized she had completed all the requirements for her major, so on a whim, she took classes in fitness instruction and wellness promotion. Her life course was changed forever. She began working in corporate wellness teaching strength and Pilates classes, private sessions, and assisting with wellness promotion initiatives.

Lenore went on to get her masters in Human Development at UMD, College Park while also becoming a health and lifestyle coach. In 2016 Lenore completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher certification through Grace Studios. The experience was transformative. It deepened her own practice and connection to yoga, while reigniting her passion for teaching. Her style is creative, fun and compassionate. She draws from her deep desire to help each student discover their strength and grace on and off the mat.

& Pricing

Picture
Your Host
Dena Leibman, along with her wife Marijke Torfs, is co-owner/operator of ZigBone Farm Retreat. She is a long-time communications professional, former nonprofit executive, aspiring novelist, and now, a full-time retreat owner. Marijke and Dena have always dreamt of not just renting out ZigBone, but also arranging their own retreats for writers, artists, yogis, and outdoor enthusiasts. So they are very pleased to partner with Grace Studios of Silver Spring, MD to bring you this yoga retreat. Dena, when not in the kitchen, hopes to join in doing a few tree poses.

Your Place
ZigBone Farm Retreat provides naturally built, light-filled, artistic spaces for people to gather, celebrate, teach, and learn. The complex consists of the main ZigBone Eco-Lodge, the Springhouse Cabin, and the Event Hall. The 100-acre farm – a series of mountainside pastures bordered by old stone hedgerows – grows sheep, goats, and vegetables sustainably. Learn more at www.zigbonefarmretreat.com.

Pricing: includes instruction from Grace Yoga Studio owner Lenore Baker, dinner on arrival night, 3 full meals/full day, breakfast on departure day, morning and afternoon workshops and hikes. Participants are required to stay at ZigBone Farm Retreat, and will have a first-come-first-serve choice of accommodations, which have varying prices (see below).

$1600 private room/private bathroom
$1300 private room/shared bathroom (bathroom shared with 1-2 other people)
$1000 shared room/shared bathroom (room shared with 1 other person; bathroom shared with 1-2 other people)

A note about our accommodations and sharing bathrooms: All our bedrooms are lovely, with hardwood floors, thick naturally plastered walls, lots of light, and great views of either the valley or fields. As for sharing a bathroom, it's super easy. We have two setups, you'll either have a sink in your bedroom or you'll share a bathroom set up where the toilet and sink are in a separate room from the shower. Plus the Event Hall bathrooms, just behind the lodge, are available. Bathroom sharing should not stop you. Many people are hesitant about sharing but in the end have found it no problem at all and now request the private room/shared bathroom option to save money.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Zigbone is heavenly and down-to-earth at the same time. I just revelled in a superlative writing retreat there, where our host and Zigbone co-owner, Dena Leibman, made us all feel at home. The accommodations are perfect and comfy, the setting is splendid, and every detail was attended to. Food was out-of-this-world and our brilliant writing instructor/muse taught us craft and more with kindness and warmth. I can't wait to go back to Zigbone. " - Patti

"
My son and daughter-in-law just had their wedding at the end of July at Zigbone.  What a magical and charming venue!  The setting was breathtaking!  The wildflower display and lush green surroundings were spectacular!  Everywhere you looked, it was so picturesque."  - Trudy
