Looking for a space to host your organization's next retreat? Zigbone Farm Retreat was specifically designed to inspire great gatherings. At every turn, you will find extraordinary meeting spaces, from a simple stone bench in the garden to our 130-seat Event Hall to a cozy log cabin living room with a Vermont cast iron wood stove and deep comfortable couches. These are creatively and naturally built places with light and grand views, and all the latest technology and amenities to ensure that you can get done what you need to -- and then some.

When you're ready to take a break, the farm is at your doorstep. Visit with our goats, sheep, chickens, and barn cats before getting down to business again. Your group can have appetizers on the long front porch or one of the retreat's many stone terraces. Your self-catered or self-cooked dinner can be eaten in the dining hall or outside in the covered outdoor dining patio, and don't forget you can use the vegetables grown in our large garden in your meals! In the evening, pull up a rocking chair and enjoy the moon rising over the valley.

Your group can meet for the day or spend some extended quality time at ZigBone. We are minutes from Catoctin National Park and the Appalachian Trail; 14 minutes from Liberty Mountain Ski and Summer Golf Resort; 20 minutes from both historic Gettysburg, PA and Frederick, MD; and close to a range of other attractions. And we're just an hour from Washington DC, Baltimore, and Harrisburg, PA.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Zigbone is heavenly and down-to-earth at the same time. I just revelled in a superlative writing retreat there, where our host and Zigbone co-owner, Dena Leibman, made us all feel at home. The accommodations are perfect and comfy, the setting is splendid, and every detail was attended to. Food was out-of-this-world and our brilliant writing instructor/muse taught us craft and more with kindness and warmth. I can't wait to go back to Zigbone. " - Patti

"
My son and daughter-in-law just had their wedding at the end of July at Zigbone.  What a magical and charming venue!  The setting was breathtaking!  The wildflower display and lush green surroundings were spectacular!  Everywhere you looked, it was so picturesque."  - Trudy
